got questions?? Here are some answers that might help.. Good luck all. How do I sign into GameMates? Look at the top right area just under the League Logo. Enter your league name in the first box... Enter your league password in the next box... Then click "Log-In". The page will refresh, and show you logged in. You need to be logged in to access any of the tabs and "My Account". How will I get to the room to play in the tourney? If you are signed into Pogo with a screen name, that is the name in which you will appear in the room to play, when using links: Use the "Play Here" link feature on the tourney page, or the "Go Play Now" link feature, right top league page. Whatever name you are logged into Pogo is how you will come into the room. If you are not signed into Pogo in any name, then you will be taken to the Pogo sign-in page. From there, sign in, then go to Expert tab-Deep Purple. You can also "sign-in" to Pogo on league main page, above the "mates blocks". There is a link. How do I report a loss in a ladder with another member? You must be logged into GameMates to "report loss". Once you are, see the STANDINGS tab under the top logo. Click that, then look for a sub-tab "Report Loss". Click that-enter the OPPONENTS name only and exactly.. Enter a comment if you like about match.. Then click report this loss below comment box. YOU DO NOT ENTER YOUR NAME IN ANY BOXES The league knows it you, by your signing in. How can I change the information in my account at GameMates? After you have Logged in at GameMates, then go to the "My Account" tab. Clicking will open your own page. Here you can edit your avitar, change your information displayed, and edit your league name, password, and e-mail. Also here is displayed all your match history. Where can I see all the other members in the league? What is my standing? After logging into GameMates, click the STANDINGS tab above the announcement area, below the league logo. The standings page will open. To see all players, click "filters", and set to "greater than 0". Click UPDATE on the right. This will show all members. Tell me about the Tournaments, and the Hosts. The tournaments are run by staff of GameMates. Any player can apply for a staff position. The Hosts run the games for the players. All losses and details from the game are reported by the Host. Players need do nothing but play and have fun. You should always try to be in the room at least 15 minutes before a game. This will help the Host account for all the players. How can I play in a tournamrnt? The GameMates League Page has all the tabs, and info to play. Look under EVENTS in the middle for links. Look on the lower right also for links. Look at the TOURNAMENT tab for links. Also in many places you see games listed. Members should familiarize themselves with the League pages. Is there an easy way to get to Deep Purple? On the Host's tourney page, on the right located among the stats of the game you see "Play Here" Clicking that will take you to Deep Purple. You might be asked to sign in first at Pogo, if needed- then you will head for the game room What are "buxx"? How can I get some? Ladderbuxx, or "buxx" for short, are used to enter games. They are the monopoly money of the league. The winners of the tourneys receive these. Buxx can be used to purchase items from Cases, and at some time future league items. If you ever need them to play, ask a staff member. They will be gifted to your account. I was told I am in an Invite Only tourney. How do I check into this? The Hosts of the invite only games register the players. All the player need do is go to the tourney page and see TEAMS/CHECK-IN. Click that and see a small box above all the players names. Find your name and enter your password, then click check in. That's all you need do. How can I also use the chatbox on the League main page? First enter the name you would like to use. Then go to "Profile"on lower right of box. Enter a password twice, and click save. This will password protect your name. To chat in future, enter your name, then the message, click GO. If it says you need to log in, use profile, enter password, and "log in"..then post your message, using GO. Log-ins usually expire after 12 hours, for your protection Where does the money go when I buy at the GameMates store? Cafepress supplies the items for the store, which I select, then decorate. When a member wins a prize, I purchase it from them at the price shown, and they decorate the item as you see it in the displays. I pay them also to then ship it to the member. There is no cost to any member, when the gift is a FREE prize for a GameMates event. NO money goes to me. I pay for the items from them once I "order", "use" one a member selects. That is part of the fun things here at GameMates. Members may purchase items themselves. The money is held to pay for my premium CafePress Store.
