ADDENDUM TO RULES
DATED 2006
**Rules Changed or added following Blythe Race November 2005**

ROLL CAGE: Line #3 should read:

Minimum of 3 horizontal door bars required on driver’s side of cage and 2 door bars required on right side of cage. All door bars shall have vertical braces welded between them.

DRIVELINE: Line #2 should read:

Drive shaft must be painted white with car number on it.

FEATURE LINE-UP: 20 cars will start the feature. Should read:

Field invert will be determined by the following. On a track ¼ mile, invert will be based on a ½ second time split and on a track that is larger than ¼ mile, invert will be based on a one (1) second time split. Time splits will be based on advertised track length.

WHEELS & TIRES Add line 4. Should read as follows:

Cars running aluminum wheels will add 2 ½ pounds per wheel to cars base weight.

DRIVERS SAFETY EQUIPMENT Should Read as follows:

All drivers are required to wear full-coverage, fire retardant, drivers uniform specifically designed for racing. Fire-retardant gloves and shoes are mandatory. Suits, gloves and shoes will meet SFI standards, be free of defects and replaced or repaired and retreated at manufactures recommendations.

Driver’s helmet must conform to Snell Foundation 2000 Standard and have conformation sticker visible for inspection.

Drivers are required to Wear eye protection at all times. Use of an approved head and neck restraint device is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

FUEL CELL: Line 4a should read:

A minimum 16 gauge thick, steel plate will be installed to fuel cell mounting brackets on the front side between fuel cell and rear differential and rear of car. These plates must be install in a manner to cover the height and width of the fuel cell container.
