The 1970 racing season in the Limited Stock Division Cajon Speedway, El Cajon, California I was one of three drivers who helped build and maintain the first car and we made it a group venture. Driving duties were shared with Eddie Ceiplis, Carl Walrath and myself, Bruce Secord. It was a real family venture as we were all brother-in-laws. (Thats me in the center at the back and Carl to the left and Eddie to the right down in the front) |
"This was only the start of things to come" |

~ 1971 ~This was the final year for us in the Limited Stock divison and also the last year The El Cajon Stockcar Racing Association had this divison as it existed for a learning division only. Between Carl and I we had set new track records with this car and won several main events and trophy dash's so it was time to move up and on. (Note: This was also the year Eddie was borned) |
~ 1972 ~Moved up to Super Stocks for the 1972 season and shared the ride with Carl Walrath on the dirt at (Speedway 117) Southbay Speedway, Chula Vista, Ca. (Cajon Speedway closed for one year due to dispute with our racing association and the track owners) |

~ 1973~1973 brought a new paint job and a trip to Las Vegas's Craig Road Speedway at the end of the season where this picture was taken. This race was part of the "Round Robin Open Comp" held by several tracks and this race was the last one of the season. This year the tracks included, Cajon, Orange Show, Saugus, 605 (Irwindale) an Craig Road. We were not a front runner, but we always had fun! "Those were the days" |
~ 1974~We were able to finally get the number 35 for our car and it didn't bring us anymore luck then the last owner. This would be my last year in the Super Stocks except for helping Bob Harrington with his #104 car. Money was tight and the family came first. |

~ 1975 ~This was the start of the Econo Division and back to racing again! |
~ 1976 ~1976 brought a sized down Econo Stock and the old Limited Stock number series back. |

| 1977 would be a year of re-grouping. I sold the Mustang and spent my race nights working on the fire and track crew for the remainder of the season. The Econo Stocks were being replaced with another divison and as the saying goes...... "I shall return!" |
