Master's Exhibition: Guest Curator at Museo Italo Americano "Out of the Trunk” Memorabilia of the Italian/American Immigrant Experience. Designed, established, exhibited and catalogued a collection of authentic personal belongings brought by Italian immigrants to the Bay Area during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Solicited and obtained funds to support the exhibition, especially construction of exhibit cases and printing of exhibit invitations, posters and catalogue. Acknowledged in a half page article on the Monday June 24, 1991 S.F. Examiner.

§ Teaching beginning and advanced art classes of up to 40 and above number of
students, 9-12 graders.
§ Teaching the video production class to 10-12 graders. The class final project is a video -
tape promoting McAteer High School to Middle School students.
§ Coaching students who are assign to participate at the United States Academic Decathlon competition, which is to promote learning and academic excellence through teamwork among students of all achievement levels. ( winning one gold medal in Economics )
§ Representing McAteer High School as a member of the District 9th Graders Task Force to
provide the best learning environment and facilitate transition for incoming students.
§ Coaching students in preparing art portfolio for applying to art schools.
§ Coaching students to participate at the Youth Art Festival as well as Elks Foundation
competition.
§ Won the gold metal award for the Regional Scholastic 3 D group art project at the May 18, 2002 Youth Art Festival ceremony. The sculpture will be forwarded to 2003 National Scholastic Art & Writing award, which will be held in our nation’s capitol, Washington, D.C. in June of next year.
§ Taught full-day beginning and advanced art classes of up to 40 students.
§ Focused on drawing and painting computer animation and computer graphics.
§ Initiated 1st ever art club for 9-12th graders, based on strong student intern;
Enlisted support of fellow teacher. Facilitated brainstorming of fundraising opportunities.
§ Organized & led field trip for 25 students to visit “Juvenilia” exhibit at Yerba Buena Art Center.
§ Facilitated one-year paid internship opportunities for students to work with prominent
artists at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
§ Designed unique assignments for and worked one-on-one with limited – English and special ed. students, observed increased confidence demonstrating his visual essay in front of the class.

Designed exhibit based on Larry DiStasi’s writings regarding Italian – American U.S. interment camp experiences. Created visual representation to convey depth and emotion of experiences. On November 2000, after this exhibit traveled to forty other cities/ Counties it was brought to congress where it was signed by President Clinton as part of the United States of America’s history. This exhibit still is being scheduled to travel.
