So Why Smoker?
Well, first off there wasn t a Smoker fanlisting, and I figure if minor characters like Ace, Chaka, Pell and Bon Clay could get their own fanlisting then why not Smoker?

Yes, but why Smoker? Jango, Kuro and Tashigi don t have fanlistings yet either and I don t see you making any for them.
Well, I like Smoker a lot, in fact he s probably my favorite Non-Going Merry character in One Piece. One thing I always liked a lot is that while he s technically an antagonist in the show, he s not a bad guy. With antagonist characters like Buggy, Arlong and Crocodile, Oda Sensei writes them as evil villains with no redeeming qualities. They pillage, plunder , loot, push old people down the stairs and kick puppies. One of the first scenes we see with Smoker is of him giving money to a little girl who accidentally spilled her ice cream on him. Smoker by no means is a friendly guy though. He s crass, cranky, cusses and smokes. He also has ZERO compassion for pirates, even if the pirates are the lovable Luffy kind. He s an honorable guy though with a strong sense of what's right and what s wrong. And he s very capable of kicking your ass if he thinks that you re wrong.

Well, this is great and all, but who s Smoker?
Hmm.. lets back up. Basically Smoker The White Hunter is the Captain of the Lougetown Battalion in the popular manga/anime One Piece. Because the notorious pirate Gold D. Roger was both born and killed there. Lougetown has a reputation for being filled with pirates. However, Smoker has a reputation for never letting any pirates who enter the town ever to leave.

So why The White Hunter thing?
Smoker is also one of the many characters of One Piece who s eaten the Devils Fruit. The Moku-Moku fruit to be specific. This fruit allows Smoker to transform himself into (wait for it) smoke! This power allows him to get out of small areas, avoid attacks and grab unsuspecting evil doers.

Moku Moku?
According to Steve s One Piece Translations Moku Moku" literally means "silent" or "mute", and is used as a sound effect, but it's also the backwards way of saying "kumo", or "cloud", which explains the connection.) .
