Damn lazy ass # 2 and more

'ello people. Once again, I've neglected writing here for a full month. So maybe it's a monthly column? Sure. Why not. Now watch me write in here again within a week or two. Oh well. Hopefully I do, I should update it at least once a week. I'll have to force myself to do that. At least I've been working off and on on my time lapse project over the last month. I havn't done as much as I should have done, but I've still been working on it. But I haven't updated it on this site yet. Maybe I'll do that when I finish here. Or maybe I won't. We'll see. I suppose right now that mostly depends on whether or not my roommate wakes up and kicks me off the computer. But I've pretty much doubled the length of it, and it's progressing pretty interestingly. I'm not sure about the whole head turn though. While it does look nice, it would be easier to trace my aging if my head was always turned in the same direction, so now I must figure out which side of me is more photogenic and once I'm looking that way I'll probably stay that way.

Now other than that what's new with me? Well, last time I wrote in here I believe I talked a little bit about going to clubs in San Francisco. Well, as it turns out, I met someone at a club one night and am now going out with them!! His name is Nathan, and it's been

just over three weeks since we met. It's kind of funny, because the few times I had been to the clubs I had seen him there each time and was attracted to him, but I'm too shy to go up to somebody. Also, I wasn't positive, but I thought we'd made eye contact at least a few times each night. So the fourth time I was out and saw him, I was with my friend Michael and told him. He said I should go and talk to him, which I agreed I should do, but am still too shy to actually talk to him. So after a while Michael gets

impatient with me and while we're dancing (well, he's dancing, I'm kind of flailing around a bit) he starts to drag me over to where Nathan is dancing (which by the way he's a great dancer) and sort of shoves me into the general direction of Nathan! Luckily I was right and Nathan and I had made eye contact, and he said he was attracted to me too, he was just also too shy to come up to me. So we've been going out since! I deffinately enjoy hanging out with him. Isn't he great looking!? He's really nice and a cool guy to boot!

What else has happened. Other than that not much except in the last few days. One thing is my cell phone decided to go kuput, so now I'm looking for a new service. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll get a new one, and hopefully transferring my number isn't too much of a hassle.

And another thing's just come up with my workplace. I kind of just got a promotion. The reason why it's only kind of a promotion is because it's of the unpaid kind. Oh, and the head manager totally screwed over a coworker by doing this too. Becky, the coworker who's getting screwed over, has worked in the projection booth for at least a year more than me, and knows a lot more than I do up there. Apparently, the head manager never wanted her in projection in the first place for some reason. (might I point out at this time that she is only one of two female projectionists at the theatre, and there are no female managers at the theatre) Anyways, Imax projection is something we don't do because it's totally different (I guess, for alls I know it's close to the same thing) and all of the people doing Imax projection (all male) are either managers or they get paid a lot more than Becky and I. They're getting short staffed though, so we knew he was looking to train another person in the Imax booth. We naturally thought it should and would be Becky, seeing she wants to do it and is pretty much the head projectionist other than the projection manager. And a few days ago we were talking to each other about how the pay sucks and the annual raises suck, and how she should talk to the head manager about being trained in Imax and getting a raise.

So then a day or two later, the head manager comes up to me and gives me a whole schpeal about how employees shouldn't get a raise because their asked to do more stuff, but only if they do stuff above and beyond what they're asked to do, yadda yadda yadda (which I do agree with anyways, I completely see his side of it). During this he never said any names, but said he's looking for a projectionist willing to learn the Imax without a pay raise. So naturally I assume either Becky did talk to him, or he talked to Becky, and he didn't want to give her a raise. I never mention that either though, and take up the offer hoping that if god forbid I'm still there months down the road, if a promotion would come up I'd be high on the list to get it.

Anyways, I of course tell Becky about all of this, and she never went to him and he never asked her to do this. She also told me if he would have gone to her, she would have accepted it, albight grudgingly. So she's incredibly pissed off with the head manager now, and she said she's probably going to quite because of all of this. I don't know what's going on, but it's definately screwed up.

Anyways, on a lighter note, Saturday I'm going to Jess' house with Nathan for her after the holidays party for the holidays! Yeah!
