Hyperactive Super Stuff

October 27th, 2004

Hello all humanoids out thier! I'm incredibaly hyper right now, yes I am! And so I thought I might as well write about that, seeing as I've got not much else to wright about as of the time being. Well, I take that back. I'm going to talk to you about Invader Zim for a bit. Oh, and I'll probably get around to talking about Shaun of the Dead as well. We'll see if I get around to talking about anything else today. Probably. Mayhap I'll let you all in on my pet Rollo wrappers.

On to Invader zim!! This is perhaps the best cartoon to come along

since the Animated Batman Series in the early nineties, and maybe even the X-Men cartoon that came along a year or two later. It's hilarious, nicely stylized, and very nicely animated (how often are tv shows animated nicely now a days? um, NEVER!) It's about an alien, Zim, coming to earth to take it over for the Urkin Empire and their Big, Spaceship. . Gang. (Armada) Oh, and the voice acting is also absolutely superb. Everything done on this series is great,

I don't really think that there is a thing I would change about it. And Dib, Zim's Arch Nemesis, reminds me, for some reason I can't quite pinpoint, of a friend from Iowa by the name of Eric Erthum. Then there is also Gir the robot, whose master disguise when out mingling with humans is, to his regret, a dog. He'd much rather be a Mongoose. You also have Gaz, Dibs younger, video game addicted sister. And their father, Professor Membrane, and Miss Bitters, the school teacher, and the Almighty Tallest: Red and Purple. It's more of a dark humor used in the show, which is probably why it didn't get that good of ratings, seeing as it was on Nickelodeon (this is the only program I ever watch on that horrid channel). It made it through two seasons though, and luckily both seasons are now available on three dvd's. I HIGHLY recommend picking these up,

you will no doubt become addicted to this series and start quoting it whenever and wherever you can. you can get it at Best Buy for only twelve dollars I think, that's the cheapest I've found them. The dvd's also have commentary tracks for most of the shows, which I also highly recommend listening to after watching the show, because most of these tracks are hilarious in themselves. Unlike most commentaries, they are constantly making fun of the show and themselves, and sometimes they don't even talk about the show. They are also constantly arguing, which is fun to listen to. And it's not just one or two people, there is usually at least five people all in the room talking to each other, and they were don quite nicely. I also have a bunch of images from the show here for you to look at, to get an idea of how zany and incredibly wonderful this show is. If you'd rather actually see an episode first, I know you can download
portions of them online, just do a search and your

sure to find them. Just do as the Radioactive Rubber Pants coursing through your veins command you to do.

Next, on to

I absolutely love this movie. I'm not going to go into it too much, because I should write a movie review over it and actually put it in the movie review section, but seeing as I obviously have something against updating that section, I thought I'd at least mention the film here, and sooner or later get around to actually writing a review for it. It's an english film, and it's a Romantic Comedy. With Zombies. Shhh, don't say the 'zed' word! If you enjoy horror genre with plenty of gore, and quirky humor only the brits can pull off, you should love this film.

Ok, what else? Well, my eyes are starting to hurt, because it's been forever since I've actually sat at a computer for this long. Oh, while I'm mentioning crap I'm interested in, I might as well mention another thing. I don't play too many video games, because I like quality and unfortunately most video games suck ass, but there is one series in particular I fell in love with, and they mentioned their next game in the series earlier this month, and it comes out approximately a year from now, and I cant' wait!! The series is the Elder Scrolls, and it'll be the fourth game in the series. The third game was better known by its subtitle, Morrowind. The next game is called :
These games are all role playing games, but they are very unique in that it doesn't have levels like most other games, but the game takes place in a world, where you can go anywhere and do anything at any time you want to. In Morrowind, there were dozens of towns and cities to visit, thousands of people living on the land, mountains, plains, swamps, deserts, etc. It takes place in a fictional land somewhat similar to Tolkens, but it definitely has it's own style to it. Another great thing about it is that there is a main quest to follow, but you by no means ever have to follow it. Instead, you can do anything. I think the game had roughly 300 quests total. You can get quests following the main storyline, or from different guilds such as the mages guild, the fighters guild, etc, from different houses (kinda like from different political parties), various townspeople and mayors, slaves, slave drivers, thieves, naked barbarians that were tricked by witches, etc. Below is a conceptual painting done for Oblivion that looks absolutely wonderfull. Oblivion

promises to improve and build upon the strong foundation made from Morrowind. The graphics also look absolutely impressive. You can click here to go to Oblivion's official website if you want more information. The first game in the series was released I think in '96 or'97 and was called Arena, and the second one was in '98 or '99, I think, and called Daggerfall. Morrowind was released in '02, and Oblivion is expected to be released late 2005 or early 2006. So far, all three of the currently existing games won numerous rpg and game of the year awards, so Oblivion has a lot to live up to, and I certainly hope it does.

Anyways, since the last post nothing new in my life has evolved. Not that I can think of anyhow.

Well, I think that's it. I've talked for a while. Now go out and by Zim!
