Built by Vickers Armstrong at Barrow in Furness, launched 5th October 1948 and sailed on her maiden voyage on 6th October 1949.
She remained in service until 19th October 1974 when she left Sydney for the breakers yards in Taiwan

ENCHANTMENT OF THE SEAS is one of 6 new buildings delivered to Royal Caribbean of a similar design. She is one of the larger of the ships. In May 2005 she will sail for Rotterdam where a new midsection will be added - increasing the ships tonnage to over 80,000.
