ALEXANDRA HOTEL - LEURA - BLUE MOUNTAINS
Built in 1903 and named for Queen Alexandra, wife of Edward VII. The architect was the son of F.C. Goyder, Mayor of Katoomba.
It is one of the Blue Mountains most best kept secrets, and is on the Great Western Highway at Leura.It's old charm and surroundings add to it's fine beauty, and it really is worthwhile a visit - not only for that fine ale on a fine sunny day ..but to taste it's fine food in it's Cafe/Bistro, located at the rear of the Hotel....Where it presents beautiful food at reasonable prices - and features Pastas, Seafood, and the best in Steaks !
Open for Lunch and dinner SEVEN DAYS a week - It is located on the Great Western Highway at Leura.

The Shotha Rustaveli
ASSEDO was built as SHOTA RUSTAVELI one of a series of vessels for the Soviet fleet.
The Assedo is the former Shotha Rustaveli one of a serie of almost five identical sisterships. One of them is the Marco Polo, all ships built in East Germany for Russian/Ukrainian owners. The Assedo is often chartered to Russian cruise - operators.
Original entered service: 1968 - Gross tonnage: 20.499 - Passenger cap. based on two: 574

The Braemar
BRAEMAR is the latest addition to the Fred Olsen fleet. Constructed for Crown Cruise Lines, she later sailed under the Cunard banner before passing to NCL as their NORWEGIAN DYNASTY. She then had a period under Crown Line again as the CROWN DYNASTY. She re-entered service with Fred Olsen in August 2001.
