"Whats New" - May 2004
Scottish Showtime can now claim that it is the longest running Variety Show in Scotland..the show which originated at the Cummings Hotel in Inverness ..and ran there for many years with great success, under the Direction of ex Theatre Manager, my old friend and mentor, - Scottish agent John Worth.
...Highland based, top variety act The Marlettes ..Bob and Maggie ..took over the Production after John passed away some years ago ..and the Show moved to it's new Home, at the Spectrum Centre Theatre Inverness.
This year celebrates it's 32nd Season ..with yet a new home for the Show for the 2004 Season from the 7th of June to the 10th of September - it will now be seen at the Inverness Suite - Ramada Hotel in Church Street nightly at 8.30pm Monday to Thrursday June/July and Monday to Friday during August/September. The perfect blend of a typical Highland Ceilidh ..Scottish Showtime has been seen by thousands of people from Around the World who have visited Inverness during the Tourist season, many of which have returned again and again to see the show.The show was also awarded "The Best Visitor Attraction for 2002".   We are all complaining about Political correctness, and the direction it is going these days - But come on - be nice to Accordion Players - This is going TOO far !! I will refuse to Park in these areas - I suggest you do the same ...hmmmm !!!

Although some of us accordion "purists" like myself still prefer Reeds and Midi ..This New accordion will certainly be watched closely - to see how it performs, not only on stage, but in the Market place.
