John Macdonald…formed the Production of “Scotland the Brave” several years ago, after being part of the original production in the early seventies..with a cast of 21..the show has appeared throughout NSW in theatre and clubs with great success..Also a smaller version of the show has toured extensively through NSW, Victoria, and South Australia. Scotland the Brave is a superb Tribute to Scotland, and combines the great talents of some of Australia’s best Celtic performers. From the moment the curtain goes up after the stirring Overture ,to the entrance of the Pipers and Drummers from the City of Blacktown Pipe Band who are one of the best known Champion Pipe Bands, and who have worked on stage with John Farnham, Sir Paul McCartney,Jimmy Barnes, and The Chieftains.
John Macdonald Scotland’s International Accordion Entertainer is no stranger to Australian audiences. He has released
many Albums,of which several have gone “Gold”, and have been released throughout the World. He has appeared throughout Australia in every Concert, Cabaret, and Club venue, as well as his many appearances overseas including The Middle East, New Zealand, the Far East, and Hong Kong.John has also appeared regularly on all major American based Cruise Ships. In 1999 he was honoured by accordionists throughout the world, in recognition of his outstanding services to the accordion movement, and the Accordion. John’s toe tapping music is a Highlight of the show.
He has just released his 50th Album called "Years Apart" - which has been acclaimed for showing his diverse accordion talents.This year Celebrates John's 33rd Year in Australian Showbusiness.
The host of the Show is Al Showman who brings on stage his fine comedy and superb singing voice.Al has no need for gimmicks, for he is that true rarity..a true entertainer from the moment he walks on stage, and takes control.His wealth of comedy and vocal talents have earned him a truly enviable reputation worldwide. He has appeared throughout Scotland and England working in many theatres including many summer seasons and Pantomimes.
Avril Stuart..Topline Scottish Vocal Entertainer presents her own style of Dynamic singing and makes a most welcome return to Scotland the Brave and the Sydney Club Circuit.
She has Toured with Andy Stewart throughout Australia, and has worked extensively Worldwide.
No Scottish show would be complete with Highland Dancers, and The Sydney Blairgowrie Dancers are one of Australia’s Premier Dancing groups..They are known Australia wide for there first class Dancing and Choreography, and combine with John Macdonald for some stirring Music and Dance segments throughout the show.
