The Castle Donington sponsored dog walk in aid of Hathern Dog Rescue was a huge success, thank you to all who attended. The final amount raised will be announced once all monies have been collected.

20/04/07 - DOGGY DAYS OUT
Two of our volunteers at the kennels are now taking one rescue dog a week for a "day out", at country parks. This not only allows the dogs to have an exciting day away from the stress of being kennelled, but also allows our volunteers to gain a better understanding of the dog's personality. 20/04/07 - UPCOMING EVENTS
Monday 7th May - Castle Donington May Day Market Stall. Selling fresh flowers and doggy accessories, as well as details on all our current dogs - and a few of the dogs attending on the day! Also, the opportunity to win a food hamper.

Hathern Dog Rescue, in association with College Garth, have brought out their very own newsletter, with the first issue now out. Please call in at the kennels to request a copy.

 

14/02/07 - PET PORTRAITS with % to College Garth
Debbie Matthews is a professional artist, who produces pet portraits on a commission basis. As Debbie re-homed Alfie from us several years ago (see the Success Stories page), she has very kindly offered to donate 20% of the proceeds from any pet portraits commissioned through College Garth to the rescue kennels. A beautiful portrait of your favourite pet, and you will be supporting your local rescue kennels - what more could you want!

Thanks to all who took part in our Christmas raffle, we raised a brilliant £143 for Hathern Dog Rescue! On behalf of Hathern Dog Rescue and College Garth we would like to thank everyone who donated prizes or bought tickets.

 13/11/06 - REST IN PEACE SPICE
It is with a heavy heart I announce the tragic loss of Spice, dog of long-term volunteer Elizabeth Osborne. She was a fantastic dog, loved by all who met her, and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace beautiful girl, wishing you a safe passage to Rainbow Bridge.

 05/08/06 - DOG SHOW ON 27th AUGUST AT COLLEGE GARTH - HUGE SUCCESS!
The dog show arranged by Hathern Dog Rescue to raise funds for College Garth was a huge success, raising around (final figure yet to be confirmed) £800! We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who came along on the day, as well as those who helped or contributed.
