1.October 13, 1864Enlisted in Company F of the 45th Regiment of Illinois Infantry at Dixon, Illinois, for one year.
1a.October 16, 1864Arrived at Camp Butler near Springfield, Illinois.
2.December 5, 1864Arrived in Nashville, Tennessee, with fifty to eighty other recruits.
3.December 15 & 16, 1864Assigned to Gen. Steadman's corp of Gen. Thomas' army when it was beseiged by Gen. Hood in the Battle of Nashville.
4. - Ordered to follow Gen. Hood to Tennessee River near Decatur, Alabama.
5.December 27, 1864Forced to ford Tennessee River.
6. - Sent back with sick.
7.January 1, 1865 to March 1, 1865Treated at hospital or Soldiers home at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
8.March 24, 1865Joined regiment at Goldsboro, North Carolina.
9.July 12, 1865Mustered out at Louisville, Kentucky.
