Personally appeared Andrew Schmitt
of Dickeyville Wisconsin whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who being by me first fuly sworn, according to law, does depose and say that he is Fifty five years of age;
"And that he is well acquainted with John Hartung former Private in [__] 45' Reg Ill. Inf.
"Affiant says that he has let a general Variety store [or?] a stock of general merchandise [__] the [__athage] of Dickeyville Grant Co Wisconsin ever since its year[?] 1862 [___] to its present [____].
"Affiant says that from about the year 1870 or about that time until about 1883 he often sold to said Hartung Patient Medicene for its Asthma or Bronchitus and especially in the winter of said year."
and that his Post Office address is Dickeyville County of Grant State of Wisconsin and he further says that his knowledge of the above facts is obtained from the following source, viz.: __________As above stated_________ and that he has no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
